WHY THE BIKE? After 2 rounds of chemo, I can kick Glenn's ass in a sprint.
FUTURE GOALS: Win another MTB race.
NAME: Scott Damman, 41

DISCIPLINE: MTB/ROAD
CATEGORY: CAT 1 MTB/CAT 3 ROAD
HIGHLIGHTS: Tour of the Gila. Road Races with hills are where it's at. 24 hours of Moab is a must do for all.
WHY THE BIKE? Cycling is what keeps me sane. Spending a month traversing Ecuador with Angela is one of the highlights of my life. Traveling cross-country by bike is where it's at. Go for it!
NAME: Angela Damman, 41
RACING SINCE: on and off since 1996
DISCIPLINE: ROAD mostly
CATEGORY: CAT 2 MTB/CAT 2 ROAD
HIGHLIGHTS: Every ride.
WHY THE BIKE? Freedom.
FUTURE GOALS: If I can get in more than hours/week I may attempt Masters Nationals this year. One day, I'd like to try the track.

HIGHLIGHTS: 1st place 4 person female at 24 hours of Old Pueblo, 2004. 2nd place Cat 1 30-39 female NM Off-Road series, 2009. 3rd place Duo Coed 12 hours Mesa Verde, 2009.
WHY THE BIKE? Cycling is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, meet great people, and be challenged.
FUTURE GOALS: Recover from ACL and meniscus surgery/broken tibia and complete some races in Colorado.
NAME: Andy Riemenschneider, 37
RACING SINCE: 1986
DISCIPLINE: MTB/ROAD/CROSS
CATEGORY: CAT 1 MTB/CAT 3 ROAD
HIGHLIGHTS: Building the foundation to a cycling community in Central Colorado.
WHY THE BIKE? First raced in 1986 on a 12 speed and had to buy a big plastic helmet and everything. Been on one team or another since 1995. Even carbon bikes are cheaper than therapy
FUTURE GOALS: May be the year to go big! Vapor Trail anyone?

CATEGORY: CAT 2 MTB/ Cat 3 ROAD
HIGHLIGHTS: 1st place 2009 USAC MTB Nationals in Granby
WHY THE BIKE? I have always been a cyclist. Competed in BMX as a teen and on the road in my 20s. When I ended up middle-aged and dangerously out of shape, riding was the one thing my body didn't revolt against. With hard work, dediation, and support of family and teammates anything is possible!
FUTURE GOALS: Repeat!!
NAME: Steve Sonheim, 45
RACING SINCE: Early 1990s
DISCIPLINE: ROAD
CATEGORY: CAT 1 ROAD
HIGHLIGHTS: Pepsi midwest rider of the year. Top 15 Elite Nationals, IL 2x. Top 10 Colorado State crit.
WHY THE BIKE? The bike is simply a delivery mechanism for racing.
FUTURE GOALS: Top 5 Hood River (35+) and same for Cascade. Top 10 crits (P12) maybe masters nationals.
NAME: Fred Maxwell, 31
RACING SINCE: 2004
DISCIPLINE: MTB with Sprinkle of ROAD
CATEGORY: CAT 1 MTB/CAT 3 Road
HIGHLIGHTS: Finishing the Cascade cream puff 100 and the E100 in Park City Utah.
WHY THE BIKE? It has helped me open up to new experiences, travel around the world, and I'm 100% sure that I can go most places in the world and meet people that I have a connection with due to cycling.
FUTURE GOALS: Several endurance MTB events and more road races. Keep exploring the riding destinations in Colorado
NAME: Karl Semoneit, 49

DISCIPLINE: MTB/ROAD/CROSS
CATEGORY: CAT2 MTB/CAT4 Road, Masters
HIGHLIGHTS: I once, a long long time ago, won a beginners MTB race. Other than that, pack fill!!
WHY THE BIKE? I enjoy riding and the friends I've made. I race because I continue to suffer under the delusion I'm going to get better, and that is the motivation I use to get out and ride.
FUTURE GOALS: Be competitive and help my teammates. Improve on last year's performance.
NAME: Glenn Walton, 41

DISCIPLINE: MTB/ROAD
CATEGORY: CAT 1 MTB/CAT 3 ROAD
HIGHLIGHTS: Completing Montezuma's Revenge. 3x 24 Hours of Canaan/Snowshoe team wins. Several top 3 finishes at MSC.
WHY THE BIKE? There's nothing like going on an epic ride or doing a hard race and not being able to wait to do it again.
FUTURE GOALS: Do some more endurance MTB events, and work on the tactics and sprint to win some crits!
NAME: Garrett Lundberg, 15

CATEGORY: CAT 3 MTB/CAT 4 ROAD
HIGHLIGHTS: Won Durange MTB race 2x. Attended Road Bike Camp 4x and placed top 20 at camp.
WHY THE BIKE? The speed and excitement of racing and living in one of the best areas of Colorado to road and mountain bike.
FUTURE GOALS: 15+ days of racing in 2010

HIGHLIGHTS: When disciplined with racing it becomes a lifestyle.
WHY THE BIKE? I love the speed and excitement of racing. Between road and mountain bike riding, I think we live in the best place in Colorado to ride. Plus...riding is easier on the knees!
FUTURE GOALS: 15+ days of racing in 2010

HIGHLIGHTS: Finished the Cohutta 100 in under 8 hours, 2nd place solo SS, 24 Hours in the Sage.
WHY THE BIKE? Because it's fun!!
FUTURE GOALS: Finish the Colorado Trail Race and become a more well rounded rider a.k.a. Mark Weir.
