New Road Race Course for 2010! This course will be a 5.7 mile circuit in the foothills just outside of the Salida city limits. It is a deceivingly difficult loop with approximately 500 feet of climbing per lap. The descent is fast and includes a few tricky corners! We recommend you take a few minutes to preview the course when you arrive in Salida for the Omnium. Racers are encouraged to use the public parking downtown Salida and ride to the start of the course, which is only a couple miles away, and a perfect opportunity to warm up. The start/finish line, feed zone and barbecue will be at the Scanga Meat Company on County Road 156.
The yellow line rule will be in effect and will be enforced. Please do not litter on the course or you will be disqualified. Be aware at all times that there may be vehicles on course as well as dogs, deer and other wildlife.
